        Project Manager - Engineer

         Keystone Field Engineering Inc. is a field-based oil and gas consulting engineering and technical support company with offices in Drayton Valley and Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.  We specialize in providing practical and efficient solutions for small to medium sized projects. We are currently searching for a Project Manager - Engineer to join our team on a permanent or contract basis.  Working out of our Drayton Valley Office, this position will be responsible for managing projects and providing technical support to company projects as directed by the General Manager.

         

        Job Description:

        • Project manage assigned projects.

        • Identify required internal and external resources, define and manage project scope of work, quality of work, budgets and timelines. 
        • Liaise with client, internal/external staff, authorities and contractors regarding all aspects of oil and gas projects.
        • Prepare cost estimates and timelines for management review and client approval.
        • Work with project team to ensure technical integrity and designs meet company and client standards and specifications.
        • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner, maintain effective relationships with existing clients and play an active role in expanding the company’s client base and work inventory.
        • Field work and a suitable field vehicle are required.
        • Ability and willingness to act as a Responsible Member with APEGA in disciplines relevant to your experience and the company’s needs.
        • Provide technical direction and certification of engineered drawings and processes.

         

        Requirements:

         

        • Approximately, 5 to 10 years experience in engineering and project management within the oil and gas industry.
        • Engineering degree preferably in Process, Mechanical or Petroleum discipline.
        • Registered or eligible and willing to register as a P. Eng. with APEGA, APEGBC and APEGS.
        • 5 to 10 years of upstream oil and gas facility operations and process experience is required.
        • Facility construction knowledge/experience is an asset.
        • Good working knowledge of piping design, electrical/instrumentation, civil/structural design and material specification is desirable.
        • Experience with project design, management and oil field facility construction with demonstrated “lead” functions and responsibilities is desirable. 
        • Must have the ability to understand and define client’s needs, identify solution options and prepare a scope of work and cost estimate that meets client approval.
        • Knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards (B31.3, CSA Z662, OH&S codes), AER and other related government regulations would be an asset.
        • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/ProCAD/CADWorx/WinSim or other similar drafting and design software would be an asset.  Proficiency with Microsoft products is required.
        • Well organized, detail oriented with proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and people.
        • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
